Lava Falls Rapid
My run in Lava Falls Rapid started out ok, but things quickly changed when the river grabbed the boat and spun us 180 degrees and suddenly I was rowing backwards. My attempt to get us spun back around was unsuccesful and we hit the next wave broadside. You can see Art and I doing our best to “high-side” into the wave to keep us from flipping. I guess it worked because we finished the run right side up. Thanks to Joe Bennion for grabbing this shot.
