Sunlight on Canyon Waves

A private one-on-one photo tour with me isn’t just about visiting the Grand Canyon—it's about helping you grow as a photographer. I’ll tailor the experience to your skill level and goals, sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over years of photographing this incredible place. You’ll learn how to work with light, refine your compositions, and capture images you’ll be proud to share. More than just great photos, you’ll leave with new skills, creative confidence, and a deeper connection to your craft, making this an experience that continues to reward you long after the tour ends.

In the moment leading up to sunset, a monsoon thunderstorm made its way across the eastern edge of Grand Canyon National Park near Desert View. The sun found a clearing in the storm through which to shine and illuminate the long canyon wall known as the Palisades of the Desert. Photography Locations

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon has nearly 30 named viewpoints and many unnamed overlooks from which to photograph. The challenge is knowing the best places for the given light and weather conditions. For these reasons, I will wait to select locations until the day of your photo tour so that we can adapt to changes in light and weather to put you in the best spots possible.
