What Goes Into Making a Framed Print?

A custom-framed photograph is built around two primary components, each chosen for both aesthetics and longevity. The first is the linen liner, which sits directly around the image and provides a soft, refined visual transition—adding depth, subtle texture, and separation between the artwork and the frame without drawing attention away from the photograph. The second is the outer frame, crafted from Roma® Frames moulding, known for its precise profiles, high-quality materials, and timeless design, which give the piece structure and a finished, gallery-quality presence. The artwork is then completed with a professionally installed hanging wire, securely anchored and balanced so it arrives ready to hang and enjoy.

Is the frame color that I see the true color?

We all view images on a wide range of screens, each with its own settings for brightness, color, and contrast. As a result, colors and tones can appear slightly different from one display to another. I’ve taken great care to represent each frame as accurately as possible, but exact color matching across all screens can’t be guaranteed. Lighting in your home or office can also affect how colors are perceived. It’s also important to note that real wood frames naturally vary—grain patterns, knots, and the length of moulding used can all influence appearance. Subtle differences in stain and finish are part of what makes each handcrafted wood frame unique.
